Born in Munich, Germany in 1954. He has lived in numerous international cities.
The focus of Wolf's work is life in mega cities and the vernacular culture of metropolises.
Wolf's work has been featured in many prestigious arts institutions such as the Venice Bienniale for Architecture, Aperture Gallery, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography to name a few. His photographs are in permanent collections across America and Germany, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Brooklyn Museum, Essen and the German Museum for Architecture, Frankfurt.
